So yes, I haven’t updated this blog for a while. Not just because I have been busy with other things but also because a bug in Jekyll prevented me from doing so. For the technical versed people among you, it seams Ruby 3.0 does not include the webrick library anymore. Took me some time to figure that out and manually include it in the Gem file.

So what happened since last April you ask? Actually not much. Due to the global Covid-19 pandemic it was a quiet summer with no tourists and lots of canceled events. That resulted in empty highways and campgrounds.

More time to go out and explore, fly around with the drone and crashing it into a punch of mountain goats. :P

I definitely improved my fishing skills this summer and managed to catch, gut and cook trout on several occasions. I went to Kluane that one time in July and it started to pour down like crazy. Anyway, with to much time on my hand I decided to do a short time lapse and now I can share it with you:

I also went on a few hikes but didn’t bother to carry my camera as it is heavy with all those lenses. Additionally it took a while to get spare parts from DJI to repair my drone and I had lost my iPhone last summer. Might be a little of an excuse but yea I started to prefer enjoying the moment instead of spending time, trying to get a good photo.

Here is one though from before my drone crashed showing Pine Lake, taken from Paint Mountain:

At the time I am writing this we are back in Winter and had a lot of snowfall, the camping season is over and I am sitting in front of my computer more often. That means I might do another blog entry about ice fishing or I might not… we will see.
